Rice and pasta salads

  • 400 gr of dwarf or brown rice

Proceeding

Bring salt water to a boil in a large pot and boil the rice for about 15 minutes (if the rice is brown the cooking time will lengthen).

Once the rice has been cooked, drain it and cool it quickly in pre-cooled Freddy with the function of blast chilling (it is recommended to spread the rice on a stainless steel backing tray in order to decrease the cooling time). Season rice or pasta as you and bring to the table.

Tips

With the blast chilling function you can store rice in the refrigerator for a whole week as fresh as just done. 

You can also decide to freeze the boiled rice using the shock freezing function, and then store it in the freezer for up to 8 months. This way you will always have cooked rice, ready to be prepared in a few minutes with the dressing you prefer.
