For the alcoholic version: cut the pomegranate in half and extract the grains. Squeeze the seeds with a potato masher or a vegetable mill to obtain the juice. Pour into a shaker the sugar syrup and the juice of 7 limes, fill with ice and add the vodka, then shake for about 1 minute. Mix well and serve.
For the non-alcoholic version: cut the pomegranate in half and extract the grains. Squeeze the seeds with a potato masher or a vegetable mill to obtain the juice. Pour it into a shaker with ice, lime juice, tonic water and brown sugar. Shake for about 1 minute and pour into 4 glasses. Decorate with a few sprigs of fresh thyme and serve.
